Research associate at the "Digital Technologies and CAD/CAM" centre at Danube Private University Krems and dentist in private practice in Berlin
Mr Alevizakos has been a former student at Danube Private University since 2018 and has been an aspiring scientist in the field of CAD/CAM and digital dentistry ever since. He attaches great importance to an evidence base in his work as a dentist and could no more imagine a practice without science than a science without practice.

Ralf Braun

Univ.-Prof. Dr habil. Braun conducts research into molecular and cellular changes and causes of age-related protein misfolding diseases, such as Alzheimer's, Parkinson's and motor neurone diseases, using simple cellular model systems, in particular the baker's yeast Saccharomyces cerevisiae.
Michael Frank, BSc
Lecturer for the practical aspects of scientific work at the DPU
Michael Frank, BSc. has been a lecturer at the DPU since 2016 and is mainly concerned with software for the creation of scientific papers, with a focus on artificial intelligence. He is the former co-founder of a start-up for an oncological clinical decision support system and is scientifically involved in epidemiological and evidence-based questions in medicine.

Prof. Priv.-Doz. Dr Dr Julia Furtner-Srajer, MBA, is a habilitated specialist in radiology and worked as a neuroradiologist at the Medical University of Vienna until 2022. Her scientific focus is on multi-parametric imaging in the field of neuro-oncology. At the DPU, she works in the MIAAI Medical Image Analysis and Artificial Intelligence working group and is also happy to support students interested in science in their careers.

Sepideh Hatamikia
Head of the Computational Imaging, Medical Image Analysis & Artificial Intelligence (MIAAI) research laboratory at Danube Private University
Assistant Professor Dr Sepideh Hatamikia completed her PhD and post-doc at the Medical University of Vienna in the Department of Medical Physics and Biomedical Engineering in the digital imaging laboratory. Since January 2018, she has also been a researcher at the Austrian Centre for Medical Innovation and Technology (ACMIT). She is currently head of the computational Imaging, Medical Image Analysis & Artificial Intelligence (MIAAI) group at the DPU in Krems, Austria.
Prof. Dr. Christoph Kleber
Head of Research Department Chemistry and Physics of Materials at Danube Private University
Prof Kleber studied chemistry at TU Wien and obtained his PhD in analytical chemistry. He habilitated in the field of materials science and has been researching the interactions of surfaces of different materials at the DPU since 2019, with a particular focus on sensing materials.
Ass.-Prof. Dr. med. dent. Maximilian Nothaft
Head of preclinical phantom courses at the Danube Private University and independent dentist in Passau.
Mr Ass.-Prof. Dr med. dent. Nothaft successfully completed his degree in dentistry at the Danube Private University in 2018 and subsequently worked there as an assistant doctor in the dental outpatient clinic of the DPU. Since 2019 he has been working
as an independent dentist in a group practice in Passau, Germany. At the beginning of 2022, he began his assistant professorship at the DPU in the Centre for Prosthodontics under Prof. Rüdiger Junker.

Rudolf Puchner, MSc, MBA
Professor of General Internal Medicine and Rheumatology at Danube Private University
Prof Puchner studied and habilitated at the Medical University of Vienna. He is a specialist in internal medicine, gastroenterology and hepatology as well as rheumatology with his own practice in Upper Austria.
In 2007 he founded the Summer School in Rheumatology in Saalfelden and has repeatedly been the president of the Austrian Society for Rheumatology and Rehabilitation (ÖGR).
Prof. Dr. med. Dr. h.c. mult. Jens Rassweiler
Specialist area: Urology and paediatric urology, as well as laparoscopy
Prof Rassweiler studied at the Universities of Stuttgart, Freiburg and Tübingen, began his urological training in Stuttgart in 1982 and was senior physician at the Urological University Clinic in Mannheim. In 1992, he performed the first laparoscopic nephrectomy in Germany. Prof. Rassweiler is an active member of numerous national and international urological societies and was Medical Director of the Clinic for Urology and Paediatric Urology at the SLK Clinics in Heilbronn for almost thirty years. He has now been a professor at the DPU for a few years and has a great deal of experience in the field of scientific work and its discussion as a former member of various journal clubs.

Wolfgang Spitzer

Oral and maxillofacial surgery
Herr Prof. Spitzer studierte Zahn- und und der Humanmedizin an der Friedrich-Alexander-Universität in Erlangen. Er lehrte später auch an der Friedrich-Alexander-Universität Erlangen-Nürnberg und an der Universität des Saarlandes, wo er auch Direktor der Klinik für Mund-, Kiefer- und Gesichtschirurgie, Geschäftsführender Professor und Direktor der ZMK-Kliniken Homburg/Saar war. Seit 2019 ist er emeritiert und ist nun Dozent für die Bay. Landeszahnärztekammer, Wilhelm-Löhe-Hochschule Fürth, IU Nürnberg, BFZ Fürth, GGSD Nürnberg und DPU Krems.

Ramona Woitek

Frau Univ. Prof. Priv.-Doz. DDr. Woitek ist Fachärztin für Radiologie mit Spezialisierung auf Brustbildgebung. Sie hat ihre Facharztazsbildung und PhD an der Medizinischen Universität Wien absolviert und war anschließend zwischen 2017 und 2022 wissenschaftlich und klinisch an der University of Cambridge, UK, tätig. An der DPU hat sie 2022 die Gesamtleitung der Arbeitsgruppe MIAAI Medical Image Analysis und Artificial Intelligence übernommen.

Prof Spitzer studied dentistry and human medicine at the Friedrich-Alexander University in Erlangen. He later also taught at the Friedrich-Alexander University Erlangen-Nuremberg and at Saarland University, where he was also Director of the Clinic for Oral and Maxillofacial Surgery, Managing Professor and Director of the ZMK Clinics Homburg/Saar. He has been an emeritus professor since 2019 and is now a lecturer for the Bay. Landeszahnärztekammer, Wilhelm-Löhe-Hochschule Fürth, IU Nuremberg, BFZ Fürth, GGSD Nuremberg and DPU Krems.
Dr. Sebastian Fitzek, PhD
Health Services Research Group, Medical Images Analysis and Artificial Intelligence (MIAAI), Danube Private University (DPU), Austria
Dr. Fitzek ist Spezialist in medizinischer Statistik und Data Science und unterstützt Studenten bei der Ausarbeitung von Forschungsmethoden und Statistik. Zudem ist er Experte in Kommunikation und Öffentlichkeitsarbeit. Seine Arbeit bei MIAAI umfasst die Entwicklung und Anwendung von Methoden der medizinischen Bildanalyse und künstlicher Intelligenz, das Verfassen wissenschaftlicher Artikel sowie die Evaluierung und Förderung von Forschungsergebnissen. Seit 2023 unterrichtet er zudem als Seminarleiter das Fach "Mensch und Gesellschaft" für die Studierenden der Humanmedizin.
